[S639] Contact Laura Ludlam Bridges, Laura Ludlam Bridges, (2011), Dear Paul, I do not know anything about Margaret Edith (Featherston) Ludlam except that she was my biological grandmother. I learned this just recently, and I am 57 years old. After her death, my grandfather would not speak of her. He remarried and started a new family. My mother and father divorced when I was small and there was no contact between them after this. Much bitterness. I know little about my paternal ancestry and am hoping to find some familial connections/information. Featherston, Ludlam, Glen, and Douglas are all surnames in the recent circle of relatives on my father's side. None that I know of are living. I appear to be the last in this particular branch. I have three sons and hope to inform them about where they come from. My father, her only child, is deceased and I have no one to ask for information. Margaret gave birth in El Paso, Texas, USA to Douglas Glen Ludlam Jr. in October 1929. Her husband was Douglas Glen Ludlam Sr. Both Douglas' were graduates of the United States Military Academy at West Point. She died shortly after my father's birth, though I do not have the date of death yet. I have two friends with some ancestry research ability and they are assisting re: Margaret and other relatives.
