      Mr V E FETHERSTON
      Mr V.E. Fetherston, barrister, who died at Jervis Bay recently waspresident of the Croydon East branch of the United Australia Party,andvice-president of The Dickens Fellowship.
      He was originally in the Justice Department but gained his law degreeafter the last war, and practised privately. Later, he was connectedwith the legal branch of the Department of Labour and Industry. In thelast war Mr Fetherston was a lieutenant, and played with the A.I.F.Rugby Union team. He subsequently played with the Glebe-Balmain RugbyUnion team, and the University and Western Suburbs Rugby League teams.He is survived by Mrs. Fetherston and one daughter.
