    • Mrs. George S. Feathers died in a Rome hospital following an extended illness. The former Ann Chidsey, she was born 7 Sept 1918 in Rome, daughter of the late James Berrien and Louise Cantrell Chidsey. She received her education in Rome City Schools and at Sullins College. She was a member of the first Presbyterian Church, the Rome Junior Service League and the Garden Study Club. A brother, James Berrien Chidsey, died in 1969 and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Chidsey Akerman died in 1974. Survivors include her widower, George S. Featherston, to whom she was married 30 Apr 1940; two sons, Charles Neal Featherston and John Chidsey Featherson, both of Rome; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Shroeder, Rome and Mrs. Ethel C. Jones, Orlando, Florida. Dr. james Van Dyke officiating at graveside services.
