CHARLESTON - 'Jack T. McNutt, 95, of Charleston, passed away June 8, 2010 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon. The funeral service honoring his life will be held atWesley United Methodist Church, 2206 4th Street, Charleston, with Reverend Walter Carlson and Pastor Jerry Sweeney officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston. Masonic Rites. Jack was born November 24, 1914 in Coles County, Illinois, son of John Raymond and Alia (Glasgow) McNutt. He married June Featherston March 20, 1938 at the First Christian Church Parsonage, Charleston, by Reverend R.L. Hayes; she preceded him into Heaven, July 4, 1967. He later married Reata Lacy, December 28, 1971 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Tucson, AZ; she survives. Also surviving is one son: James L. McNutt, Sr. and wife Sabina of Charleston; one daughter: Lynn Cunningham and husband Gary of Pontiac, IL; three grandchildren: Toni M. McNutt of Charleston, James L. McNutt, Jr. of Kannapolis, NC, and Rae Ann Woodrow of Indianapolis, IN. Eight great-grandchildren: Casey, Madeline, Olivia, Gavin, Kendra, Payton, Natalia, and Maya; and one great-great-grandchild: Candice Jane, also survive. In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter: Judith Kaye (McNutt) Samuelson; one granddaughter: Kendra Lynne (Cunningham) Patton; and one sister: Elizabeth Jane (McNutt) Krajefska. Jack was a lifelong farmer, having farmed with his own father for 70 years. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and was a 32nd Degree Master Mason, having been inducted into Charleston Masonic Lodge 35 January 22, 1952.'
