Found a type written book at the London Metropolitan Archives (LMA 66/624) Local Government, Law and Order in a pre reform English parish 1790-1834 the parish studied is Farningham, Kent Says in it "a little out of our period apprenticed one of the Featherstone boys to a shoemaker in Dartford, at a distance of perhaps five miles." Also mentions Farningham Parish Church lost members to Eynsford Baptist Church between 1792-1834 which might explain why records are not in the parish church.
