Notes |
- The will of Richard Fisher of Whaplode, Lincolnshire, contains a bequest to an Agnes Fetherston(e).
The will was made on 8 September 1545 and probate was granted in London on 3 October the same year.
I have transcribed the initial ff of a name as F as is customary.
There is a small squiggle over the n of Featherston which I have interpreted as signifying a missing letter - probably the final e.
Here is a short transcription to give context after the bequest to his wife Rose:
"Item I geve to Fortune my wifes mothers maide a black burling Cowe Calfe which was Loydens.
Item I geve to Agnes Fetherston one Ewe and a Lambe.
Item I geve to Nell Crane: one Ewe and a lambe Item I will that John Podell myn Oste of london have Eight Pounds which he hath in his hands of my wages"
