      E. Lancelot Featherston Obituary
      FEATHERSTON E Lancelot, age 66, of Lexington, Kentucky, died April 10, 2017. He was born October 4, 1950, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While he was in elementary school, his family returned to their hometown, Lexington, where many generations of the family had resided. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Edgar Featherston, a member of the original Urban Renewal Agency; his mother Eleanor Caroline Arnett Featherston, a former officer of the Women's Club; his maternal uncle Duff Arnett, a Rhodes Scholar and attorney; and three older brothers Richard Duff Goodykuntz, Robert Edgar Featherston, Jr., and Robin Edgar Featherston. He is survived by his brother Daniel Boone Featherston, Daniel's wife Gail Hendrickson Hart, his niece Kristine Thompson, her husband Edward Thompson, and their children Chase and Lindsey Thompson of London. Lance won a beautiful baby contest while living in Tulsa. He was an excellent teller of jokes and a reliable archivist of the family's and the town's history. He was largely responsible for the present name of his street Ashland Terrace, formerly South Ashland Extended. Lance loved animals, children, his neighbors, his "Krogerite" friends, his family, and the Wildcats. The family expresses their appreciation to his neighbors, his "Krogerites", Hospice of the Bluegrass, Sharon Smith, Almost Family, and family friends for their kindness and support. Graveside services will be at the Lexington Cemetery on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 12:30pm. Father Brian Cole of Good Shepherd Church officiating. www.milwardfuneral.com
